Michael Murphy
Michael Murphy is the Senior Pastor of Shirelive, located in Sydney’s South. Michael has been involved in full-time pastoral ministry since 1983.
He served under Pastor Brian Houston during the pioneer days of Hills Christian Life Centre (now Hillsong Church) and held the role of Associate Pastor for several years. In 1996 Michael and Valery were sent out from Hillsong Church to become the Senior Pastors of Shirelive. Shirelive is a healthy and growing Church with a vision to dynamically impact greater southern Sydney and the world for good and for God. Michael is passionate about every individual experiencing the life of Christ in the everyday & being able to enjoy transformational relationships with others.
Michael is a member of the National Executive Australian Christian Churches (ACC) in Australia, and until recently was also on the NSW ACC State Executive where he served for over 10 years. Michael has also just taken on the responsibility of Director of Church Life Nationally, spearheading the New Churches and Church Health over Australia.
Michael and Valery have three adult children Leah, Ryan & Elyse who are all in leadership roles at Shirelive.
Errol Buckle
Pastor Errol Buckle (MA Lead) has been actively involved in Church life from the mid-seventies. After serving in full time pastoral ministry in one church from 1984 he moved to Bundaberg in 1996 to take on the senior pastoral position of Heritage Christian Centre. By the grace of God, the church under his leadership has grown from 19 members to hundreds of people who now call “Heritage” home. Errol is committed to the cause of Christ and in seeing people’s lives transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word.
